Basically it helps you memorize words by repetitive memory drilling. The most basic method is recognition: you input a word with a clue in a way that whenever you are given that clue, you can remember the word easily. With enough repetitions, the words you input will ingrain in your brain, and this method is useful in learning kanji since you need to memorize as many words in the active vocabulary of Japanese language as possible.

Thank you! Yes I do not speak and understand Vietnamese. I learned a few Kanji but just by memory and recognition though I can't write them so there are times I don't know if those are the same Kanji's

Well actually you only need to learn how to write a few hundreds since that will help you read better. I've listed a few books for that in my first post (in red bold text). Two of them are in English, so you can check them out if you want. The rest is just about reading, adding new words to your deck as you read and reviewing regularly with Anki.

I've only started learning Japanese recently, so getting the KanjiDamage guide from you was like a divine blessing. The method it presented really addressed issues I have been encountering with memorizing words with Kanji. Hopefully the proposed solution will continue to help me in the long run

I suggest you start with hiragana but keep in mind, you need learn as many kanji as possible. You can learn romaji a bit for pronounce purposes.

That's good. Now you can focus on memorize kanji, doesn't have another way. Write is important too, on japanese have a correct way for draw a kanji, search about kakijun. Learning to draw kanji makes memorizing easier
